To correct the article: Ron Paul raised much more than 7 million; but he did raise over 7 million in one day with the Dec 16th money bomb. However, the most impressive fact to me is that his military donations were more than all other candidates, republican and democrat, combined.

A year and a half after his White House bid sparked fevered devotion, Paul doesn?t know what the next step is for the movement he helped build. In fact, Paul, who ran for president in 1988 as a Libertarian, seems almost unwilling to take a leadership position among those who turned out to his rallies and who helped him raise more than $34 million seemingly out of nowhere.?I play a role in it. I sort of give some guidelines to it,? Paul said of the movement. ?But it is so energetic and spontaneous and so popular that it just goes"

A movement that is not moving -- for lack of a leader.Let's face it, Ron Paul never wanted to be President. He raised tens of millions of dollars & sat on it. The man was TERRIFIED that he would actually get elected & actually be called upon to implement his ideas. That's why he didn't buy any ads. That's why he didn't campaign anywhere there were an appreciable number of delegates at stake. It's the same old story with libertarians everywhere. They talk a good game. But that's all they want to do -- talk. They will do anything in their power to make sure they are never actually called upon to implement their ideas. They will do anything in their power to keep from getting elected. Including sabotaging their own campaign.
