geekyjock.com — U3 software is neat, but it can be really annoying if you don't use it. I thought I could just format the drive and it would go away. Nope. Here's a link for the uninstaller (much easier to find than searching through forums).

why not just use fdisk in *nix to delete the partition and reformat it as FAT32 at the same time?
