nudecelebritydeathsuv.com — On September 1, the world lost Don LaFontaine, whose dramatic baritone supplied annotated narratives for thousands of coming attractions and TV shows. Here's just a small sample of some of his finest work; hopefully someone eulogizes LaFontaine as eloquently as he voiced over the following five films.

What a vaccuum his death creates! Movie trailers will never be the same. LaFontaine had an amazing range--he was the voice for ABC and Fox; he could do a comedy movie, suspense film, action pic--all in the same afternoon. We didn't know him as well as we know/knew Kasey Kasem, Don Pardo, or Gary Owens--but he made at least as big an impact. Don LaFontaine had a voice as distinctive as Dick Tufeld (voice of network TV--most famous for providing voice of Lost in Space robot). Who is going to take his place?

Wow. In a world without Don LaFontaine, who will say "in a world" in all the trailers?By the way, while we're on the subject of voice-over people, does anyone know if it's true that the guy who did the announcements for ABC in the 1970s -- the man who said, "The Looooooooooooove Boat -- was the father of Paul Thomas Anderson?

His voice is the bell in my Pavlov dog life, making me salivate for popcorn and come back to the theater to see what happens "in a world." Fin.
