dailymail.co.uk — A drug inspired by red wine could allow people to eat as much junk food as they like without putting on a pound. The couch potato's dream, it could also provide the benefits of exercise without moving a muscle. If that were not enough, the pill, which mimics the action of resveratrol, the 'wonder ingredient' in red wine, may also prevent diabetes.

But the mice have to be forced to move or exercise. That sounds disturbing. When are we going to learn that there is no such thing as a miracle pill and that wonder drugs have side effects?

Just do an ECA cycle and exercise. The weight will pour off. It's the only supplement that really works. Just make sure you don't have a pre-existing heart condition.

Wine Is Not Emulator

Since the Harvard study by Dr. Sinclair was published in the journal Nature a flood of dubious companies have sprung up selling resveratrol. Many have no scientist, no labs, no quality control and no experience. One guy is making it in his house in Florida. Consumer Lab, an independent testing authority, evaluated the major brands and found many lacking in content and quality. The highest potency products that passed their evaluation were Biotivia, Transmax and Bioforte. A product by Life Extension Co. failed badly with only 26% of the claimed resveratrol. Another brand, Revatrol, had virtually no trans-resveratrol in its supplement. The ConsumerLab test results are available on their web site. According to the NIH formula for converting from mice to humans the correct dose based upon the published studies is between 400mg and 4,000mg for a 70 kg man. The consensus seems to be that around 1,000mg is appropriate for a preventative dose and twice that to treat an existing condition.

This drug is not new, I remember reading about it 5 or 6 years ago on Slashdot where they were testing it in mice.

The digestive system handles all carbohydrates in much the same way?it breaks them down (or tries to break them down) into single sugar molecules, since only these are small enough to cross into the bloodstream. It also converts most digestible carbohydrates into glucose (also known as blood sugar), because cells are designed to use this as a universal energy source. more on this: http://lowcarbreview.com

Just a 10 percent reduction in weight can improve heart function, lower blood pressure and levels of blood cholesterol and triglycerides, and decrease the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. And new research shows that obese people with sleep apnea who lose 10 percent of their weight can significantly improve their symptoms and potentially rid themselves of the disorder. http://eluhealthcare.blogspot.com/

I'm a believer. Resveratrol is a God blessing. I've always been using several antioxidants but I have to say that since I've been using transmax resveratrol I can feel a neat difference in my energy level, skin/hair appearance, mood and shape.
