siliconera.com— Ubisoft's game is looking better and better. New details show that you can fight with two swords, one sword is on the Wii remote and the other on the nunchuck.

old news....listen...I'm as much for the Wii as the next guy but I'll be damned if I stand for ignorant people posting old/fake stories just because it seems like cool Wii news. The only good Wii news is REAL Wii news. None of this conjecture crap. (This also goes for Sony news.....none of this "24 things you 'need' [and by 'need' I mean 'don't need to know at all'] articles."
You do realise the sword isnt matched properly to the wiimote like we all hoped.. its detects certain moves and responds accordingly, but its not going to act like you hope.
You can hit with the smaller sword too. Most of the sword fighting videos show it. I've also seen a screen shot of a guy holding the smaller sword and a pistol! That would be so awesome if you can use them both.
Both you and Madhuin are wrong. First of all, it's the main hand (usually the right) that is used to block/parry. And you parry with the longer blade, not the shorter one. Where did you learn how to fight? If you had a long sword and a dagger in your offhand you would try and block with dagger and use longsword to attack? I don't think so. The shorter blade is mainly used to stab your opponent, or slash him depending on the opportunity. Don't talk about things you know nothing about and attempt to look knowledgable. This is all very basic and obvious stuff too.

The sword is called a Kodachi.<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodachi">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodachi</a>

Those are the exact same pictures that UbiSoft has been showing...for quite a while now. You use the left sword (nunchuck) to block. This isn't new.

Yeah... how dare you insinuate that the Wii wasn't sent down by God himself and may not be the most perfectest game system evar.
