Well, tough luck. The difference of course being that while there is currently little we can do to change the rules of gravity ( even though we have become quite good at working around them in the last 100 or so years ), patent law is a purely artificial human construct, and we do have the power to change it as we see fit. And if patent law becomes a hindering more than a benefit to society, it has to go or change!
Funny funny.You can hardly call the idea of a virtual desktop "Technology", but I guess that explains the whole mystery (Before it solidified) behind the .net platform idea a few years back.
