Quote Unquote Records calls itself “The First Ever Donation Based Record Label”, but is currently homeless after its host pulled the plug.

I would self-host too. Paying other people to host stuff is risky. Your average Internet line isn't good enough though, so I'd invest in a quality Internet connection but run and administer my own servers. Trusting your content to some corporate idiots blundering around trying to manage hundreds of possibly thousands of sites isn't the ideal situation.
