guardian.co.uk — You might think that a chocolate company with one of the world's most famous brands would have a flashy headquarters with a visitors' centre and a neon sign. Not Mars. A notoriously secretive Virginia-based firm, it is run out of an anonymous brown building near the CIA's headquarters.

I don't consider the Guardian a news source, but rather a rag. More info is needed because I've always liked Mars bars. They're on to something though I'm sure.

A 70 minute walk means that is only 3 and half miles away.

Wow, that's amazing considering what Oakley has done to their hq. Incase you havent seen it, it's a huge steam-punk-ish building that is indescribable with words: http://tinyurl.com/5keaq5

I like their vision of keeping their company private. As soon as you start selling ownership you lose the ability to plan for the long term...

I found it completely retarded and misleading to try to connect the two. The Mars family has lived in Mclean Virginia for many decades. There are tons of businesses in Mclean that have absolutely nothing to do with the CIA. The CIA isn't even in Mclean Virgina but instead located in Langely which includes Turkey Run farm, Langely High school, many businesses. The two don't share the same city, zip code, dialing prefix etc.
