afrotechmods.com— I know I know...Afrotech has been submitted before, but this is specific. Check it out. I'm gonna try this as soon as I get my soldering station back.

"It was able to function as a brand new battery just as if nothing had happened and Laura Prepon was still hot."Amen, brother. I miss the old Prepon (Donna from That 70's Show, in case you don't know, before she went blonde and gaunt.)Off topic, I know, but I counted 3 posts about fruit snacks, so I'm not too worried.
To Chris Taylor Who Doesn't Know Jack Shiit and Pretending He Does:He discharged the 9-v battery with a power resister, not with an LED. The LED is only there to indicate voltage level. If you paid any attention to his discharge circuit on the breadboard, you'll know the LED is connected in series with two resistors and then in parallel with a big power resistor. And yes 9-v rechargeable batteries do have capacities around 160mAH, check any rechargable battery store and you will know.
"I have heard of chargers that claim to charge ordinary alkaline batteries but I never trusted them. I still don't. I don't want battery acid all over the place."i have had on of those battery chargers for 6 years, and i love it. it has never burst a battery, takes a while to charge (faster than 63mA though) and is "microprocessor controlled" whatever that means.but hey, if they can sell more batteries that way...
Personally, NiMH batteries are so cheap online - and heck, in stores now adays - and last over 1000 recharges while easily lasting equal to the e2's in CD players etc, why even mess with trying to recharge batteries not designed for it? You'll have made up the cost of the NiMH batteries in 3-4 charges, after that it's almost pure savings (electricity costs are far less than alkaline battery costs).
"...why even mess with trying to recharge batteries not designed for it?"What are you talking about? Alkaline batteries are designed to be recharged. Designed is not even really the correct word. Alkaline batteries are able to be recharged because it is inherent to its electrochemical process. That is like saying that a PC cannot run Linux just because the sticker on the outside says "Designed for M$ Windows XP".
I bought one of those ray o vac battery chargers at home depot. It works on alkalines. I just don't trust them in expensive equipment because sometimes they leak afterwards. Digg? New subject.....What's the deal with pirating direct tv? I heard it doesn't work anymore. Anyone out there know anything about that?

How about selling these (with a charging station that has built in fire suppression)?
