i spent $12 on my keyboard, ive had it for 2 years, i've spilt everything on it at least once. Talk about unneccessary.anyone who buys this is:american,probably overweight,has designer clothes,only buys apple.
Actually, quiet keyboard are pretty common (and necessary) in large offices in Japan. They have specialized keyboard to minimize noise because the sound of a few hundred keyboards in one cramped office is enough to drive just about anybody insane.
If you do this I would remove the controler board first if you can. It's not that you can't get them wet but if anything rusts you will be screwed. Of course the whole thing needs to be perfecly dry first before you use it.

wow, that's pretty cool. the price is definitely a little steep, but i can see this becoming a staple in any dorm room!
