You can rest assured that it will be horribly dubbed. You can also be sure that there will be a subtitled version available on the dvd.

Most chinese prefer being called by their surname then name IF they don't have a english name...Gary Tay using Western Style.Tay Yong Chye (my chinese name).or Combination : Gary Tay Yong Chye (Surname in the middle)...Also it's pretty common to call each other by the surname unless there's 2 or more of the same surname.
