sorry, i owned a RAZR and found a few things about it to be less than satisfactory, but your complaints are retarded. the missed calls alert was pretty useful in most situations and can be easily turned off. when i go to sleep, i put my phone on silent usually--it's not that hard to do. i'm sorry your roommate is a retard, but blaming that on the phone is equally retarded.the RAZR was overpriced and had buggy software, but being able to hear the sound level when you adjust its volume seitting is not a strong argument against it, nor are optional features like reminders of when you have missed calls.
yea, for $500 i'd rather get a cheaper phone and a new PSP or iPod. heck, you can get some pretty nice phones for $100 with a new contract.why buy the RAZR 2 for $500 when you could spend $100 on a new phone, then go out and buy a $150 iPod nano PLUS a $140 PSP, and STILL save more than $100.my current Samsung slide phone has a 2.2" display with a much crisper and sharper image than the RAZR V3 had (and is also suprisingly scratch/smudge resistant and doesn't produce as much glare as the RAZR seemed too), a 3 megapixel camera, plays MP3s and has an expandable microSD slot, and has IM software and all the other regular features. and this phone cost almost nothing.with the size of the display on the RAZR 2 and the price of most data transfers over cellular networks, i'd much rather use my PSP's WiFi to surf the web on its 4.3" screen.
