It isn't the school districts per se, but the people in the district. I recall seeing a case on an HBO special where residents of the town had gotten the school committee to endorse creation science. There was one guy who had relocated to that area of Georgia from NYC and he was not happy about it at all. So far I've seen no such moves here in the northeast. We're a little more rooted in science anyhow.
I'm pretty sure there are plenty of Americans on Digg who don't know what the Scopes Monkey Trial was.This was in my history textbook back in year 11 for no good reason =/
