Speaking of Australia, why not look at how much money were donated to countries like Indonesia after the 2004 tsunami?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donations_for_victims_of_the_2004_Indian_Ocean_earthquakeNon-muslim countries like the U.S., Canada, and Australia donated generously to countries devestated by the tsunami, like Indonesia, yet oil rich muslim countries like Saudi Arabia donated a small fraction.

Wow... Canada is NOT representing in this poll. That's hugely disappointing.

@khalifa Your blame-the-victim attitude is precisely why rape would be under-reported in hijab-wearing countries. Countries like Pakistan use rape as punishment, as in the case of Mukhtaran Bibi who was gang-raped to punish her brother who was himself a suspected rapist. Some Islamic countries also practice honor-killings where women are killed for being the victim of rape as it is an unsanctioned sexual activity that has brought dishonor upon her family: "Honor killing is a practice where a family member kills a female relative of theirs as a punishment for sexual or marriage offenses considered to have brought "dishonor" to the family. The prior concept usually relates to unsanctioned sexual activity%u2014often including cases where a woman is raped."So, Indonesia's reported rape rate may not neccesarily accurate or a good thing. Not only is it too good to be true, it may even be a sign of cultural values that lead to rape being brushed under the proverbial carpet.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mukhtaran_Bibihttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honor_killing

@fliegerI think that with the 'honor' killings your right. It does seem to be rare, I have seen reports of it happening however. More in some places than in others. Though Hirsi Ali claims it isn't happening.http://dutchreport.blogspot.com/2005/02/hirsi-ali-on-honor-killings.htmlStill, I think my central point is correct that the parent comment is apt, and except for the fear of honor killings, for the reasons I've stated.

You have no idea how much you just made my day. First you call my attacks ad hominem (which is accurate) but then in the same breath you make sweeping generalizations about "libs" and "homosexuals."I could also go on in length regarding your poorly thought out retorts to Bioshocker's comment, but I'm afraid they would fall on closed ears... "Committing immoral behavior causes you to lose your sentience?" no, but in your theory does committing those same acts cause you to to lose your God?Don't misunderstand, I'm a rather spiritual individual. I'm spent countless hours reading religions texts. In fact I wonder... Have you ever actually read the Bible? It sounds more like you preach what you yourself had preached to you. God gave you free will and the ability to reason. I dare you to think for yourself. When your mental capacity exceeds that of a small rodent feel free to broach the subject again. (there I go with the ad hominem attacks again)

"With your logic a person that enjoys pain can randomly go around hurting people because that is what they would like to happen to them." But you fail to argue the 2nd point. As a sentient being I see that my causing pain to another upsets them and they do not appreciate it. I know this is wrong regardless of the punishment, in this life or the next. Now this is all well and good conversation in theory, but have you met any Atheists? I have, it seems to me the ratio of kind and good Atheists is about the same as the ratio of good and kind Christians... Crusades ring a bell?

"bitter homosexual rants"Homosexuality is a matter of sexual preference. We are not discussing sexual preference and so the use of the world "homosexual" is totally irrelevant. So you have just lied by describing his rants as "homosexual". You insist that morality is about answering to God. What is your answer to God, your explanation for why you just told a lie? Did he ask you to lie for him?

And it probably doesn't count molestation, incest, statutory rape where an adult takes advantage of their authority or other situations. In america, you hear FREQUENTLY from women's rights gruops that 25% of all women are sexually abused or raped by the age of 18. So it would seem that the graph in question is WAY f**king off as that would be a rate of about 250 per 1000, not 0.014081541085whatever per 1000.

As already mentioned: rapes go unreported the world over, in some places more than others. The statistics in this article don't measure rapes/1000 people but REPORTED rapes/1000 people by country. However, whether rape/abuse is reported or not, it is a serious crime and every country should be trying to reduce its incidence.http://packingboxes.newmirror.com

so the fact that muslim women do not dress half naked and do not present themselves as sexual objects has nothing to do with it. and the fact that the muslim society is not pornified as the west is , and the fact that porn is not a social norm has nothing to do with it.the guys who say the stats is lower in hijab countries because they wont report it out of honor is joking. the flaw in logic in that statement is : if honor of a girl is so valuable wopuldnt they want to report it so the police catches that guy?
