vermontguardian.com — U.S. female soldiers in Iraq were assaulted or raped by male soldiers in the women?s latrines, and an alarming number committed suicide, Col. Janis Karpinski reportedly testified before an international human rights commission of inquiry last month.

Good soldiers kill, bad soldiers rape. Yea, that's the gist of it. Some of the assh**es in the world are open to reason, others aren't. What then?

To end this, there is only one best way. They must take Prostitutes with Army.

Since, we became a nation of liberal pussies and deicided that men and women are identical (unless it benefits the women to be different in certain circumstances), unfortunately.

I posted this in a reply as well but wanted to throw it out again."Since they look at the possibility of death in the face everyday, it should come as no surprise that they rape"I don’t care what the excuse; there is not one that justifies rape. Period. I am a veteran. While in the service I worked in the Signal Corp attached to a Military Police Company. while I was there I was privilege to stories they told about the people in the military that they would have to arrest. There were some of the most corrupt and pathetic excuses for human life out there. HOWEVER.... I have met real heroes while there as well. People who made me proud to be American and serving in the Army. Its easy to say that the ladies should have done this or that, but it will never justify the treatment they have suffered. The commander who dismissed the hardships faced by these soldiers should be completely removed. If he can not ensure the safety of his own soldiers then he has no place on a battlefield.

Well that's one reason for bringen'em home. The guys are so up for getting laid that they're turning to raping soldier women. And in turn it makes it that much worse for the women. If the women weren't there at all they'd probably be raping each other. And I say that in all sincerity. Dems will love this post. Republicans will think I'm a dem. I'm not. You can all go "F" yourselves, Dems and Reps alike. You're all criminals.

Something's wrong with the editing mechanism, so I should say, THAT"S ONE REASON WHY THEY SHOULDN"T BE SO GUNG-HO TO GO TO WAR!

See what I mean? Sorry for the double posting.

Obviously MahWah hasn't spent any time at an Army post prior to deployment. I was in the infantry at Fort Campbell and in early 2005 the brass consolidated all our PT routes onto one main road. Thus, everyone in all four brigades and the smaller units got to see everyone else. We deployed in Sep-Oct 2005 and the months before deployment we saw what we could only describe as 'the preggers PT battalion.' In real life a battalion is about 650-700 troops, but you get the idea. HUNDREDS of female soldiers, all conveniently pregnant JUST BEFORE a deployment back to Iraq, lumbering along, making small talk and perfectly at ease with making everyone in their units work harder and longer to cover their absence. Yes, I realize women have every right to have a family, raise a child, etc. But if you civilians think that it's some coincidence that their timing just happens to get them out of a trip to Iraq... you need to spend some time in uniform or stay away altogether. I have more respect for the male soldier who tries to shoot himself in the foot. It's a tad more honest.

I second that, Plant11, although I think they should still be in the Army. If anything, there should be more.

As opposed to the "he said, she said" situation in the civilian world where the woman is always believed over the man, especially when it's a false rape case.

Next time someone takes out the building your family and spouse is in, leaving you alone with your rage and grief, I'll be sure to console you with the assurance that no one will ever pay for what they did. Terrorists indeed!

Why can't the male soldiers just masturbate? It's not that f**king hard.

Um...have the soldiers ever heard of masturbation or self-pleasure? Why make someone else suffer to satisfy your own sexual needs?

I doubt that the majority of the troops are risking their lives to defend MY freedoms and life. Most of them don't know me, to begin with. Most of them are there to get money for college, or because their parents and grandparents wanted them to carry on the family tradition of going to war, or because they were born into families brainwashed by the Republican party. I doubt if more that 10% of them actually get up and think "I'm going to go out and protect the American people and their freedom and lives today by killing people on the other side of the world to secure oil rights and land for future pipelines, thereby creating more terrorists who will strike back at America for abusing and killing their friends and families..."

I thought the military is supposed to teach self control? I've gone longer than I'd like to without sex a few times and not resorted to rape, and I am an undisciplined suburban liberal slacker.

Exactly: just check out the stories that have been Dugg here on Digg about groups of soldiers gang raping and murdering teenage Iraqi girls and killing their families and such. Soldiers have been doing this kind of thing for as long as there have been wars. If you give a bunch of angry horny young men authority and weapons, what do you think is going to happen?

I think it is imperative that it be noted that this article fails to mention any verdict, gives no first hand accounts, and the only example cited is of one woman dying in her sleep from deydration. At 120 degrees death due to insufficient hydration is a likely accident or miscalculation. There is no evidence whatsoever other than heresay from an already proven liar that there is any relation at all to rape. Accusations such as this one, without all the facts present, helps no one, it only tarnishes the U.S's already teetering reputation, creates fear, and needlessly incites people. It could be nothing more than a publicity stunt. If the time comes that actual evidence, or even a convincing first hand account arises from victims, then it is fitting to be incensed. Until then, I encourage all of you not to believe everything you read.
