Last antivirus that i installed was nod32 and it uninstalled just fine. And i am not acting foolish, i just dont want to have something useless taking up cpu cycles and memory.

just use a linux live cd to store your data and save it to some store device. Re-install windows. then Restore your Data.it's that Easy.
