punknews.org — Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has announced he will be leaving the group due to "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences". There has been no further word on whether the band will continue without him, and if so, who would take over vocal duties.

RATM's Live album recorded at the Olympic Auditorium is in constant rotation on my iPod, so I was very happy to hear that they are reuniting (hopefully for more than just the Coachella show). Although I liked the first Audioslave album, the later material did not live up to its promise. Who knows, maybe we'll see Chris Cornell as a special guest judge on American Idol soon...

Yeah, that live album is awesome. The live video is even better. That one & The Battle of Mexico City are f**king amazing videos to watch. So full of energy.

Audioslave had a *decent* debut CD. Not good, per say but decent. They never deserved any member of Rage, one of the greatest bands of all....everything. RAGE! RAGE! RAGE! RAGE!

Rage Against the Machine Broke up for the same reasons Audioslave did"musical differences with the singer". Don't get me wrong, I love RATM but it seamed towards the end the band left Zach because they wanted to get away from there political standpoint and more into the main stream. I am wondering if they had a change of heart.... For the record Rage Against the Machine was better than Audioslave In the musical ability as a group, and there lyrical content in political activeisim .

Thank god this abomination is dead. I was a fan of each member's previous group, and when they announced the formation of the group I was hopeful. At the time, pop culture was still in the throes of Creed, Nickleback and to some extent Limp. I work in rock radio, and the prospect to the amalgamation of Rage and Soundgarden seemed perfect. After three mundane albums, I'm glad to seem them go.

The author has mentioned very much a vital topic today. It seems to me that the problematics of this clause enables to reflect and draw conclusions. You can as to look sites in Russian which mention this theme: http://www.rolid.org http://www.se-ua.com

You're pretty much an idiot. I'll give you credit because you like his work with Soundgarden and Audioslave, but saying that his vocals suck in his solo work? HA! It's obvious you don't know what you are talking about. It's one thing to "not like" his vocals, but it is another thing to say they "just plain suck"... His solo work places more emphasis on blues style vocals than his work with his bands do... If you knew anything about music you would know this. And you would also know that he is one of the best male vocalists out today. Have you honestly ever even listened to his solo stuff? Apparently not, because if you had listened you wouldn't even think to compare him to Billy Corgan's whiney voice. Sure, they are both unique, but you can't throw them into the same category at all. I do agree that there is a huge importance in the band behind the frontman, but to say that Chris Cornell sucks is just stupid and ignorant. Do this website a favor and actually research or listen to something before you post your comments about how much they suck. Moron.
