The DAC and the speakers or headphones are where it matters. I don't know what an iPod uses for a DAC, but I doubt it would be that crappy. Back on the argument. I listen to stuff through my receiver, so I do care about bit rate. I've got a good Onkyo, with a great DAC in it, with my setup I CAN tell the difference between 128 or 192. After 192 it gets really hard to discern the difference though.
Anyone shouting "traitor!" and "sell-out!" is a giant tool. And this coming from the Radiohead fan. We're usually the tools.1. Thom Yorke stated publicly that they were in the process of signing a record deal, though they would not reveal what label it was. Old news, as far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad it's an indie label. I heard no shouts of selling-out, just praise for going against the grain.2. It doesn't make sense for them to release online exclusively, especially from the standpoint of having this album heard. I know it's a cu-razy concept to us Diggers, but some people don't have the internet! :O!3. It really shouldn't matter. The fact that a band as largely recognized as Radiohead released their album with the option of being free is admirable. I think it shows they care most about their music.s**t, people, at least they didn't sign to Virgin or something equally horrifying.
I think this is the revolution. Music will go almost entirely online/digital/whatever within the next few years, and buying a CD at Walmart will cost you a dollar, because no one will want to.

That's not true. I "bought" it for 0.00. Didn't even ask for a credit card.

Another slap on my face, for me, who paid for the album. 9 more tracks??
