Just because the NYPD report disagrees/differs with the NIE (national intelligence estimate), does not by that fact alone without any underpinning analysis as to why the reports disagree with eachother, automatically make the NYPD report incorrect. In fact this NYPD report pretty much affirms a simple concept that 50% of our nation doesn't understand. It is that you can not classify a prospective or current Muslim Extremist by his/her income level or educational experience.

"There is no useful profile to assist law enforcement or intelligence to predict who will follow this trajectory of radicalization. Rather, the individuals who take this course begin as “unremarkable” from various walks of life." The above paragraph is on page 7 of the NYPD report. So what is CAIR whining about? NYPD spelled out that it is impossible to profile whose going to be or who is a radical. The intent of the report was more along the lines of understanding the process of radicalization and not for profiling.
