@modestmouseAs I understood it the treaty required Mexico to half of their land which became CA NM AZ and TX and other parts of the US and only protected the Mexicans that lived within the new borders 160 years ago . The US also paid repairations as part of the treaty to compensate for the damages incured during the Conlict. THE MODERN WORLD WAS FORMED, THROUGH CONFLICT AND LAND GRABBING.
