I lived in Kobe, Japan for 3 years. I never experienced any racism in any form. I did experience 1 instance of anti-Americanism. I learned the spoken language and made every effort to learn and respect their customs. I cannot relate to your experiences.
You know what I going to call a spade a spade about racism in Japan. I havelived in Japan for more than 10 years as a web designer. For more than 10 years I considered Japanese as being better than myself. For more than 10years I experience their indirect racism and now I feel it more than ever.On the train people stare at me. When the train is packed no one sits beside me because I am black. What I find most funny is that recentlyyoung Japanese men are trying to be black yet I they don't have a f**kingclue what it means to be black. The Japanese just copy whatever is cool at the time and just copy the black man. Being black in Japan is one the most hardest things in the world. If your black I suggest not going to Japan. The Japanese are just straight up racist!!!

Are you serious? When I was in Osaka I once was in the middle of a mass parade of protesters chanting to expel foreigners from the country.
