cyberdork is absolutely right, the netherlands have one of the lowest pot smoker rates in all of europe, much lower than germany and england for example, prohibition is bulls**t, it never worked, does not work and will never work, it only criminizes innocent citizens and puts money into the hands of criminals that should have gone to the state
Eating turkey makes me slow.Look, responsible use of marijuana has less debilitating effects on people than many other legal substances. If you want to be silly about it, drinking water is not harmful -- you can have a fatal overdose (and more people have fatally overdosed on water than pot).As far as being a gateway drug, everybody talks about it but nobody agrees on what that even means. Here are the facts: over 99.9% of all those who try marijuana do NOT go on to become heroin addicts. And over 99.9% of all those who don't try marijuana do NOT go on to become heroin addicts. Where's your gateway effect? Most people who smoke pot end up quitting or lessening their usage as they grow older, without even trying to quit (unlike cigarettes). Where's your gateway effect? On the other hand, while marijuana is illegal, you have to buy it from criminals, who might also sell other drugs -- if there is any gateway effect it's because it's illegal.
@ROBINNEWHemp is illegal because certain corporations wanted to associate it with it's THC riden cousin, and no other reason than that.Remember that in the early 1900's, Hemp was our main source of fuel, and could easily be today. Not only from hemp seed oil, but because the industrial hemp plant is a perfect source of bio material as well. The latest notion of not allowing industrial hemp to be grown again was that it would be a perfect hiding place for Marijuana to be grown and hidden by the hemp plants... except the fact that those marijuana plants would not be able to survive in the same field as Industrial hemp kinda makes that point a bunch of B.S. Industrial hemp grows fast, tends not to allow anything else to grow in it's soil, and is extremely sustainable. There is no reason at all why this should not be a major commodity in our Country, unless certain major corporations do not wish it to compete against their own products. And until those certain corporations are no longer allowed to fund our politicians, then don't expect it to ever come back.
I repeatedly bury it. In fact, I wish there were a Firefox script to autobury the same old bulls**t over and over, so the idiot "prohibition works" faction at least has to try to compose something new.

I think most Americans do believe in evolution (though maybe not human evolution specifically), but I see what you were going for.

this pretty much just shows that the government doesn't have a reason to make it illegal so they make up bulls**t like this for an excuse
