huffingtonpost.com — Rachel Maddow will replace Dan Abrams as host of the 9PM hour on MSNBC, the New York Times' Bill Carter reports. Just last month in a Times article by Jacques Steinberg, MSNBC president Phil Griffin declared Maddow "at the top" of a "very short list" for those who should have their own show,

I'm not sure why this is news, let alone front page news? I was pretty sure Digg readers gave up on TV ages ago.

how many times are you going to post this same comment whodoes?if you're going to keep copying and pasting your same comments then at least make sure it's a coherant one. Funny how those who agree with right wing politics are 'sheeple' while those who walk the left line are progressive and independant thinkers. That's creative sterotyping there.

Holy Schmack! WTG Rachel! You kick ass Kid! Congratulations! I have an Idea for a show name! And guess what? IT SUCKS!!! But ya know what? I don't care! I'm 'a going for it anyway! How about ......Catch of the Day w/ Rachel Maddow. OK it's not the best name, but Then again, I'm not a professional shownamer...I'm not even sure that job title exists, and if it does that says bad things about this world. It's better than the other Idea I had. FOX SUCKS w/ Rachel Maddow. as true as it is, that would court too many lawsuits...

What the hell does that prove except for the fact you might have a bigotry problem?

"Most females don't give a s**t about political talk."HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...oh...wait...you were serious. That's a pretty big generalization there, bub. There's plenty of us who follow politics. I mean, they only affect our lives and stuff. Why would we care? Oh yeah, we should be too busy birthin' babies and cooking, right?Oh and considering the ridiculous amounts of straight men I see commenting all over any Maddow story talking about how they think she's hot, I think your worries may be a bit premature. Not every guy on the planet has fallen prey to the "plastic-boob-platinum-hair" ideal of what women should look like.

I agree with everything you said except for the lack of strong liberal personalities in the media. There's Bill Maher, Steven Colbert(eventhough he is sarcastic about it), John Stewart, and maybe some others that I watch, I'm not sure. But I think there are some people who tell it like it is. The problem is that the these republicans are drilling this nonsense into the uneducated, lazy minds of americans. They dont care to do any research for themselves and just trust that our elected officials would not lie to us. The mainstream supposedly unbiased media, say CNN, is not really asking the tough questions. The questions being asked are retarded, like "does evil exist?" Is that supposed to be something I care about? Or for that matter do I care about all the other crap they talk about? Sad really.
