It's ridiculous to call Ron Paul's supporters insane when you support John McCain and Sarah Palin. Their election would mean another huge blow at our liberties. And that makes you a f**king maniac.
The overly large government is the only thing stealing from me. I work approximately 40% of the year to pay for it. Anything I give Paul and Co. is a free donation out of my own choice, no coercion involved. Do you people know the difference between free choice and coerced activity?
Hortnon, in plain English what did Ron Paul vote for/against when you mention 'We the People Act', 'Sanctity of Life Act' etc? I don't live in America so i do not what these are exactly, but I'd be interested to know. And herkimer56, what civil rights legislation did he vote against? I'd be interested to know why he would propose legislation to strip the Supreme court of their authority to hear cases involving civil rights. And I looked up these 'Newsletters' from Ron Paul you talked about. Some of the comments are semi-racist but nothing that can be seen as complete hatred against black people. I've heard elected representatives say and do much worse things and completely get away with it. McCain and Obama are no exception. And he also says some not so favourable things about gays, but that was 1994. Gays are treated with much more respect and equality these days. Most of our politicians have changed their opinions to suit this. They are our elected representatives after all. It's not a case where our politicians can do whatever they like - they are supposed to do what WE want.
You would do far better to look at the individual people than you would to try to judge a group or a slogan. "All terrorists are evil". Weren't the US founding fathers technically British terrorists?
