thebestofronpaul.blogspot.com — Ron Paul means just as much (if not more) to Black Americans and People of Color as well as any other American. Consider his views on The War on Drugs, the I.R.S. The war in Iraq, protecting our borders...to name a few issues. He is more than likely in favor of what MOST AMERICANS are in favor of than ANY OTHER CANDIDATE.

Yeah, and Ron Paul is the only member of congress to vote against a bill honoring the 40th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and stated that the CRA has created more racism. That is a load of s**t. Then the man went on and voted against the re-authorization of the 1965 Voters Rights Act.Ron Paul does not place African Americans in high esteem.

I have seen you earlier today blasting Dr. Paul on being a racist in other posts. If he was such a racist, why would he say this:"Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans only as members of groups and never as individuals. Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike; as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism. Their intense focus on race is inherently racist, because it views individuals only as members of racial groups. The true antidote to racism is liberty. Liberty means having a limited, constitutional government devoted to the protection of individual rights rather than group claims. Liberty means free-market capitalism, which rewards individual achievement and competence, not skin color, gender, or ethnicity. In a free market, businesses that discriminate lose customers, goodwill, and valuable employees – while rational businesses flourish by choosing the most qualified employees and selling to all willing buyers. More importantly, in a free society every citizen gains a sense of himself as an individual, rather than developing a group or victim mentality. This leads to a sense of individual responsibility and personal pride, making skin color irrelevant. Rather than looking to government to correct what is essentially a sin of the heart, we should understand that reducing racism requires a shift from group thinking to an emphasis on individualism." - Ron Paul - December 24th, 2002Dr. Paul is an honorable man who is for freedom and liberty for everybody. He is also the man who voted against giving Rosa Parks a medal. Yeah, that's sounds pretty bad, right? Not quite. He voted against it because it was not Constitutional. He did not want to use taxpayer money for the award. He has stated that Rosa Parks is an American hero. His solution? He told our Congress that the medal could be paid for if the members of Congress each pitch in $100. He put his $100 on the table - there were no takers. Still think he is a racist? C'mon - this is a really noble man. Look him up and learn what he actually stands for. I hope that you will join us in trying to make him our President.Have a good day.

As a woman of color, I completely disagree with this astoundingly inaccurate statement. As a constituent of Ron Paul I have seen Ron Paul vote NO to his friends medal (Ronald Reagan) not because he didn't think that he deserved it, but rather Ron Paul didn't think that the taxpayers money should have to pay for it. He asked congress on BOTH occasions to cough up $100 dollars a piece to pay for the medals and the congress felt that the taxpayers should unconstitutionally have to pay for each instead of one of them collectively paying for them. This article is extremely inaccurate and is now buried for lack of educational research on the part of its biased author. Freedom is for ALL individuals and NOT for select groups that wish to keep americans separated by using special interests to keep us divided. We The People whether black, white or of another race and color should not let these special interest separatists divide what has been joined together in our march to freedom and liberty FOR ALL INDIVIDUALS. Thank You.
