Actually, he said in the first debate that he did. He later clarified that he did not think all life evolved from non-life here on earth. Small evolutionary changes are provable, and that means it is not logical to deny "evolution". It is those who insist that it means all life evolved from non-life, that can logically be denied.

@omegaant maybe you should look into why they have those positions. My guess would be that they realize that "all men are created equal" we all have the same rights so civil rights legislation is rather redundant if we all have the same rights. Everyone is allowed to live their lives as they see fit as long as it doesnt prevent someone else from doing the same. If you dont believe in freedom of expression for those you despise then you dont believe in it at all.As far as the homophobia goes I think that youd be hard to find any group not homophobic in the 1950's. If you read the constitution issues like gay marriage, racism, sexism, or any negism (just made that word up but it fits well someone call websters!). Basically any type of favoritism based on any classification is unconstitutional. The KKK could march talk about being racist till they were blue in the face even live in a gated community if they owned the land but the second they impeded the rights of another person because of whatever racist view they have they would become criminals and would be delt with accordingly. That is how a republic is supposed to work. And if we followed our constitution as we should any discrimination would be a crime. And whatever or whoever someone does in the privacy of their own home is their own buisness.
