Yes, but if the law firms, and individual attorneys, who worked these RIAA cases have not kept tabs on how much of the gross is owed to the respective plaintiffs (including the artists who CREATED the intellectual property in dispute), then they have neglected to exercise due diligence. If this is a result of deliberate carelessness, then it's fraud...for which one can be disbarred (by the state), as well as sued (by the musician whom one has robbed by pocketing the money he's owed under contract).

You can support the artists by buying songs, but at the same time it is the record companies who get most of it, so who are you really supporting?

So what you're saying is, if you were to make or do something that made millions of people happy, and each person you made happy voluntarily sends you a dollar, you'd be more immoral for taking the money you earned and doing whatever you want with it than someone who steals your mother's car? WTF!?Also, I don't understand how you can place the RIAA as more moral than the trial liars.
