@ZinjaShikeI don't support the RIAA in any way, but for example, in mixtapes they will take the beat from a Ludacris song and have 50 Cent rap over it. This means that although 50 Cent said it is OK to release his rap, it's still over Ludacris' beat.

They only get a kickback on blank "Audio" Cd's. Not on blank "Data" CD's. But other than that, you are correct.
