I hit a car once with a dog in it but he was just fine. Had he been attached to the door I hit though then the dog would have exploded, showering its blood everywhere and turning a minor accident into a much more traumatic event.
It's a nice invention, OK? If the dog is squished to death when you are navigating around the busy traffic in the NYC, all you have to do is to remove the sack and throw the whole damn thing away. No cleaning or maintenance required!!!Buy a new sack, get a new dog and you're good to go again..
There are times when you have to say, "Now that's a stupid idea". This and Giuliani waiting in Florida. Giuliani still fairs better or comes out "ahead" as Spot might not keep his after a sharp left.

Dogs and cats come with hair. If you don't want to be bothered with it then don't keep them as pets.
