usatoday.com — Apparently they had filed a proper permit to demonstrate. However, the permit was revoked and currently police in full riot gear and some on horse back are blocking the anti-war demonstration. More than 400 people have been arrested so far this week, including some journalists and bloggers. The police has been accused of using excessive force.

They knew the Patriot Act would become handy. The way foreigners may understand what PSA stand for when they are " greeted" at US airports is Police State of America. Sad,indeed.

They did surround them and beat them in St.Paul. On several different occasions.They also fired flash-bangs directly into crowds of people. They preemptively and illegally raided homes in some instances ripping through walls, destroying cameras laptops furniture and afterward didn't even charge people.

This is not about Jesus Christ, but about the First Amendment of the US Constitution being trampled by the Bush administration. When the US legal system doesn't suit their needs, they change it. The Patriot Act will be used to prosecute the demonstrators, the Bush administration has a complete lack of concerns for the laws of the Land. What they understand is ORDER not LAW.

Either you haven't been following the actions of the "police" during the RNC, or you're just lying. They gassed, beat, tased, arrested everyone, including lawyers, press, medics, and people not even involved. Then, at the jails, the beatings and maltreatment continued.Try checking out facts dittohead, or get somebody to read them to you.

I think we saw enough masked terrorists destroying private property to justify the police response. I'm sure if there were any such instaces at the DNC convention the left wing propganda mills would have been wall-to-wall with them!
