um if you've seen any recent commercials about it, it is (your dog will hate you and you're pathetic because you want to smoke with no one around; you're girlfriend hates it but you do it anyway so aliens will steal her from you, etc) if you smoke weed, no one wants to be around, but you still smoke, no matter how much it destroys your life; is the message... but I can think of another drug that this actually is the case for, but if you don't use it you're lame... yeah it's the other side, alcohol. if you ask me it seems, since (according to the cannabis commercial but for some reason left out of the beer commercial) both drugs produce the same negative effects: people who don't use it don't like to be around you (although empirical evidence shows this more the case for alcohol); that people would rather their children be less exposed to the drug that can kill you in a number of ways after its use, than the one that you can be in control of during the entire period of intoxication (no matter what any propaganda says about getting raped at a party after smoking weed)... but hey, what do I know about the way the government sees children and thinks they protect them?
