Once again, 'latex' is already a word, so it should be pronounced as such. You don't get to change the pronunciation just because you made up a clever acronymn.

No. I am not convinced.If you pronounce .GIF as "jiff", then how would you pronounce .JIF? Besides, Compuserve was a bunch of idiots anyway!
