net tools has been around for ages and is nothing special. Honestly the last time I saw it brought up it was by a bunch of 14 year old kids using the udp flooder to emulate lag on playstation 2 games.

Well, I could see a UDP flooder being useful to find out whether the stateful packet inspection is working correctly on a firewall. Other than that it's pretty useless except for 1337 h4x0rZ

That's exactly right. Use the tools they use to test your network. find it's vulns and exploits.. patch 'em up.. and know that no matter what, as long as it's on, it will never be secure. And even then.....
