eskimo.com — Here's a compilation of several programming-related quotes. For example: If you lie to the compiler, it will get its revenge (Henry Spencer); It's hard enough to find an error in your code when you're looking for it; it's even harder when you've assumed your code is error-free (Steve McConnell).

One of my favorites for a while was this one:Programmers are in a race with the Universe to create bigger and better idiot-proof programs, while the Universe is trying to create bigger and better idiots. So far the Universe is winning. AnonMaybe I'm just a cynic, but this applies to just about everything.

the best one:"It is practically impossible to teach good programming style to students that have had prior exposure to Basic; as potential programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of regeneration."-- Edsger Dijkstra

Hi pucosk,I think your correct idea have to "The first 90% of the code accounts for the first 10% of the development time. The remaining 10% of the code accounts for the other 90% of the development time.". This quite similar as 80-20 rule.
