torrentfreak.com — Eric Wilkinson, the producer of the independent film ?The Man from Earth?, wrote an email to RLSlog in which he thanks them for the free promotion they gave him. ?In the future, I will not complain about file sharing? he wrote, ?when I make my next picture, I just may upload the movie on the net myself!?

What he needs to do is upload the movie, then make a ligitimate attempt to trying to get that movie offline. He needs to threaten to SUE THE PANTS OFF everybody that downloads it. He needs to try to put in bogus seeds on bittorrent. He needs to kick and scream. Once that happens, the pirates and rebels take note and goes to spread the film like wildfire. Then he becomes famous

And if you enjoyed it, you can also send the filmmakers a small financial payment of thanks. More info on their MySpace blog: http://www.myspace.com/manfromearth

I downloaded the movie and I loved it. I downloaded it because the premise was so intriguing and I couldn't wait for the DVD to be released. I would have brought it if it were on ITunes, or another place without DRM. F****in studios.. wake up from your slumber, sell UnDRMed downloads. Brilliant small films like this one will be able to find they're rightful audiences. I am going to buy the DVD anyway, whoever made this deserves the money to make more thought provoking films like this.
