If I remember correctly, he took out $40,000 in $1 bills for a contest that a local radio station was doing. It was suspected that someone from the bank who observed him do the transaction was the one that ripped him off. Needless to say, it was definetly sad for him. $100,000 is a lot of money, especially for back then. He went through all that money, found himself broke, turned to booze, was on the run from the government....Man, its a depressing ending thats for sure. Still, his accomplishments were outstanding.
