ecopolitology.org — President Barack Obama has reiterated his administration’s focus on science by promising a new level of commitment—one with the same intensity and urgency as that which put Americans on the moon—and stressing that “the days of science taking a back seat to ideology are over.”

You assume that the American leader is alone in the world economic community with acting in the way he did?All off the 1st world leaders had to react and step in to avoid Economic meltdown in the same way.It is not just America that has Economic problems and deficits to address. The Republican Party would have had to take similar action.

This is about the only thing I like about him to be honest. He may be a puppet but at least he's using what power he has left to bet on science. After all it really is the only thing that improves lives.

@localzuk: I never claimed CERN invented the internet... I said they invented the basics for the internet. Sure it was DARPA that eventually took those basics to the next level, but the foundations were created in Geneva.

Try smoking some and then you'll realise why everything you have just said is a load of bulls**t. When you're high, you want to sit around and laugh, eat crap food, then go to sleep. Risk-taking and being a daredevil are not high on the agenda of those who get high.
