What about shale? Your math is way off, nobody knows for sure how much oil is offshore. Remember its all off limits to America but China can take all they want. Who is next, Russia, Venezuela? Every available option must be explored, people are suffering from high prices.

This isn't going to fix anything immediately, but it is a step in the right direction. Now, add to this more refineries, some nuclear power plants and Boone Pickens push for more wind power and we can fix this problem. IF we can get the tree huggers out of the way.
