filmforce.ign.com — "The Hobbit still faces legal hurdles before Jackson can make the missing film in the Lord of the Rings saga. However, there's still a chance we'll get to see Bilbo's first journey in a few years' time."

I wont be seeing it. I hated LOTR. The books were good books, i will admit that, well writen ect. but they were also not a favorite of mine, and the movies were just lame.

actually, they could do /many/ more movies if they decided to base them off the silmarillion (could do heaps from this, so many stories in it, covering thousands and thousands of years before the hobbit, talking about how middle earth was made and much more) and the other books available.

Estvir: I seem to recall Peter doesn't have the rights to The Silmarillion. I do believe that he is able to write new stories within the Middle Earth universe for film. However, if he were able to pull from The Silmarillion, "Of Beren and LĂșthien" would be an epic tale that I'd love to see realized.

Before The Hobbit, I'd like to see fuller and more accurate versions for the LotR films (like, seeing Saruman in the third...). Who else isn't afraid of a 6 hours film?

A prequel? Not wise after what happenned to Lucas's desecration of the Star Wars trilogy. What will they have, Gandalf in his youth, in wizard school with his best buddy Saruman, at a pseudo-Hogwarts?Will Aragorn fall in love with Arwen, the teenage elf who's parents don't understand her and her zany dismassal of immortality? Or will Sauron, the bully-boy all star quarterback try to steal her away?Tune in, next week.[Yes, I have read the hobbit]
