gadgetizer.com — It seem that at the end of every electrical cord, there’s an intimidating looking, odd shaped block that inevitibly covers up the second plug in your wall outlets. 360 Electrical has solved the problem with their super cool 360° rotating outlets.

Seems like a bad idea to me. Imagine the consistent torque that would be placed on the prongs if: 1)the prongs are located off-centered from the power block, and 2) if the power block weighs any significant amount. (both assumptions seem valid to me if any rotation of the power block is required in the first place...) I would prefer to keep my prongs unbent :)

I wrote that post about 2 months ago to (more or less) fill in space. It's one of the more bland posts on the site so I never expected it to end up getting dugg. Guess it goes to show that anything mentioning "360" these days is a hot topic.Paul

Yes I also vote a big go for those short extension cables. They are only about 50 cents online... Order up a case and be happy! I recommend getting them slightly longer .. long enough you can put the wall wart down on the floor so that it's not pulling the plug outThe other nice thing is that they sell some of these with more than one outlet on the end. That power strip that held only 2 or 3 of these things maximum all the sudden can support like 14 with a few of the Y cables!

you can only split electricity so many times before it becomes a fire hazard

BTW, the jury is still out on whether or not the NFPA will make an expemtion for so-called liberator cables.
