I love MacOSX and have been through 2 Alu Powerbooks. The numberone thing that had bothered me above all else is the cooling issues. The bottom of the Powerbook becomes annoyingly unbearable.

Wonderful! I just bought one ... Oh, well. Not that I'm bitter, though.

Eh, the good deal now is the older Powerbooks, I just can't imagine justifying a new Powerbook purchase right now. I'm getting an older 1 ghz 12", and loading it with ram, and an 80 gig hard drive. Just really max it out, for cheaper than buying a new PB. Better value honestly.I'm a bit disapointed that they would think of dropping the 12", it's the perfect size for a lot of professionals on the go, all they would need to do is to make a 13" widescreen, beef up the res a little more, and with the Intel processor, you'd have one mean little laptop.People who are REALLY looking for serious power always go with a desktop anyways. I really hope they don't kill the 12" I really love that laptop.

Yoshimi, isn't this the story with every tech purchase? I mean most of the time you hit the order now button and by the time the page reloads there is a bigger better toy out... Anyways I was thinking of upgrading from my 1.25ghz G4 Powerbook... But I think I will wait it out until the new Intel ones, and also how that they have a new powerbook thats inbetween a 12-14in model, as I love my 15in but I would like a tad smaller, and my GF has a 12in which is too small.
