torrentfreak.com — The Pirate Bay has made its intentions of purchasing a country quite clear. Apparently, negotiations with Sealand are still under way. But they aren?t just looking at Sealand, but a number of other ?micronations? as well.

Not a bad idea. Castro already hates Capitolist America, and would be willing to snub them by hosting TPB.

>Simply being *suspected* of *intending* to develop nuclear weapons didn't work so well for Iraq, though, did it?Sealand has no oil - nobody will bother with them.

Satellite Internet sucks. Direcway, or Hughesnet, whatever they keep renaming themselves in an attempt to lose their crappy reputation. I live out in the middle of nowhere so I'm stuck with it, but I'd rather have dial-up. It's dead for 1 - 1 1/2 weeks out of every month with 2 - 5 minute page load times IF successfully loaded. Hopefully there is another satellite provider available if they have to go that route. Maybe they could create their own national ISP as well.
