For years, my search engine was altavista.digital.com...and then i found out that altavista.com was enough.

i used google once and never went back to any of the others. I don't even call it searching anymore. It's "googling" as I'm sure it is for 90% of you guys too. They're gonna run the world 20 years from now.

You say they 'copied' a layout that consists of a logo and a box?

Last time I ever saw that awful 1997 HotBot page was when I was searching for porn on my 56k modem.

I actually bought a copy of Gif Construction Set to do that.

I just did it as a freshie last semester. God, the lecturer droning on about other search engines I've never even heard of.

It's the other way around - Bing looks like Ask (sort of, but there's still MAJOR differences). I used to use Ask, but I'm gradually switching to Bing because of the Decision tools.

Wow, I kind of love Bing now. Nice pictures and nice layouts get me every time, I just haven't considered any search engine other than Google...ever, really. I remember when I was in elementary school I used Ask Jeeves once and was confused when the answer didn't show up in FAQ format. Also, future Yahoo is wayyy better looking than current Yahoo.

"Bing" never was, currently isn't, and never will be catchy.

Ha, I remember the MSN *Browser*, that was ridiculous at the time, also, as I think it is now... It was very tacky, IMO...
