NOT by verbal discipline. You tell a kid its not nice to hit and then when they do something wrong you hit them well they are going to hit people... you tell a kid not to lie and then in front of them lie to your spouse and they aren't going to have much integrity... you tell them not to drink but have a beer everyday after work... and get drunk at least once a week... and there is no way they're going to stay dry till 21. You tell a kid to respect women and stay chaste... and hide a stack of porn under your bed... do you think they're going to hear what you're saying? No you tell a kid to not have sex just because... and then hand them condoms and then the lesson is void... not only void but the opposite lesson has been taught.No when I talk about abstinence... I mean you educate kids all about sex... you teach them how the body works... you teach them about STDs... you teach them everything... you tell them all the about the responsibilities that come with sex... and you teach them that once you've had sex with someone you can't take that back... you have that for all future relationships you want to be in. No teaching abstinence does not mean holding back information. in this world where condoms are so prevalent you can't just ignore them... but handing them out and telling them just make sure to wear them and then they'll at least be "safe" then everything up till this point has been pushed from their minds. There is no such thing as safe premarital sex. There is always the chance you will get pregnant. and an even greater chance of contracting an STD. And its guaranteed that any healthy marriage has become about 10 times harder for you to achieve. Not only are you more likely to be subject to infidelity... but you will never become as close to you're spouse as you want because of the strain your previous relationships put on your marriage. Sex complicates things because sex is more than a one time thing... there is a permanent bond thats been created... the more people you have sex with the less strong this bond will ever become but it will always be there. So if you've had sex with 20 people before you meet your wife... well... she'll just end up being number 21. So as far as I'm concerned... even if the condom doesn't break... even if you don't have one in the heat of passion... even if it doesn't leak around the edges... even if all of those things... there is still no such thing as "safe" premarital sex.
