rasmussenreports.com — Among Democrats, 51% say the Vice President should be impeached while only 22% disagree. Just 8% of Republicans and 30% of unaffiliated voters favor impeachment of the Vice President. Twenty-five percent (25%) of all voters say they?d be more likely to vote for a candidate who works to have Cheney impeached.

Just 51%? Of DEMOCRATS?

The huge difference between this poll and the previous American Research Group poll is surprising. In the ARG poll 54% said they favored "...the US House of Representatives beginning impeachment proceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney", whereas in the Rasmussin poll cited above only 31% said yes to the question "Should Dick Cheney be impeached and removed from office?" The ARG poll had a couple of leading questions about Bush's possible pardon of Scooter Libby.I'd say the jury is still out on what the American people believe. But speaking as one "leftist", I'd like to see Cheney impeached and tried for war crimes.

51% of the democrats?? That's like 25% of voting Americans. It's safe to say 25% of America are whining whiners who complain just because it makes them forget about what failures they are. Get a life diggbots, get a life.

A minor? All your credibility went out the window there.Hey you know, if someone kills you, but won't kill someone else, might as well not waste money on their trial. We should put that money towards small businesses so they can employ more people.

There is one unofficial way I can think of for Democrats to support this, besides continuing to email, call etc your Congressional rep... and that's to support Kucinich's presidential bid. Come on now. If you're really serious about wanting Cheney out, support the one Representatiive ballsy enough to go head to head with him. Support his presidential bid, because that's how politics around this country is played. The guy with the best idea on the issues that matter most, and who knows which issues matter most, should get the nod. Support Kucinich with your contribution, sign up for his local campaign in your area, show him and the other candidates that good ideas and right stands pay dividends. We all know that political policy is a blunt instrument. Sure, you don't agree with every little policy Kucinich has spoken up for, but can you seriously say you're looking forward to a continuation of the same crap we've had for the last seven years? Four years minimum with Kucinich would mean: Conservatives would wet their diapers daily at the thought of all their dictatorial powers in his hands... maybe they'd remember how nice it was to have a Constitution. And there's a good chace Kucinich would actually want to spend most of his time in office taking those powers off the table, trying to restore the republic. That would be a definite improvement over this Lost Decade. If you think cheney and bush should be impeached, support Kucinich's presidential bid. If you oppose the war but don't want to impeach, then actively support Ron Paul. Put your support where your mouth is.

Pumping up the debt by half trillion in a war built on his phony propaganda so that he can give sweetheart deals to his cronies in Halliburton doesn't deserve 52%.

Check out the level of support by active duty personnel for Presidental candidates yourself. I won't mention who they overwhelmingly support financially and politically, since you already know. Also read my comment carefully, I threatened legal constitutional action against the sitting VP. If he chooses to stay after impeachment, then we have not only the right, but the obligation moral and legal to remove him.I'll repeat it again: If Dick Cheney and his sycophants will not obey the law, they will be forcibly removed, by those who do obey the law. Their time is coming and people like you should be scared, losing your enabler.I don't fear investigation, I welcome it, on all levels.
