I guess that's the point of Digg: the majority is digging the opinions they agree with and burying those they don't...

I am Clay Jones the person quoted in this article. I can assure you the numbers in this article are real. I realize it could be hard to believe that these problems exist in the church but it is true. 970 people responded to this survey on the most visited Christian website in the world. It would be helpful to note that most polls in America today are done with between 100-300 people. Anyone who has reported these numbers as inaccurate is uninformed and has no real information that would not tell them the numbers are not real. I have no idea why anyone would want to question the validity of this article in this manner. I would be happy to answer any question on this subject to the best of my ability. If you would like to hear a full presentation on the sexual issue that face the Evangelical church today go to my website www.2ndGlance.org and you can download free of charge the new Introduction to my 3 part series "Where Does the Second Glance Go". The new and updated version of the series will be available in the next few weeks. God BlessClay Jones

Matt,I think that at some point in all intelligent conversation people should be able to supportthe assertions they are making. It is easy to allow your tongue to get away from youwhen truth is of no concern.

@wdavisut:"If you think that the purpose of life is to gratify every desire or craving that comes to your mind, then prepare for a life filled with sorrow and loneliness and lows so deep that you'll question why you even live."Yes, but I'd also think that you'd have a lot of emotional highs as well, as compared to us being all the same, going to church, living cookie cutter lives where we are afraid of anything new, be it computers or music or anything else. Just take your soma and go on existing, not living, but existing.I'd exchange permanent stability in life for the ability to choose what i do when I want to do it. I may hit some low spots, but the high spots will make it worth it.

Very few. My own family is an anomaly in this region of the country, because every person in our household has their own computer. Few households around here have more than one computer. Are you trying to insinuate that the children are the problem. If you are that opens up a whole set of problems with religious culture. I won't even open the door for these evangelical Christians. I open the kitchen window and tell them were not interested then slam it shut. I guarantee you that I can do a spot check on my fourteen year old's computer at any time and never find any evidence he's ever visited any porn sites. I have no parental locks on anything other than scripts on his computer. He's allowed to watch anything on TV he finds interesting, he's allowed to play any video game he wants and he's allowed to visit any website he feels like visiting. He's not allowed to run any kind of second or third party script on his computer unless I peruse the site, view the source code and OK it first.

1. Polls suck (in fact, all stats can be manipulated to support a certain viewpoint).2. Christians are human. They have the same issues as non-Christian, believe it or not.
