"what the hell is with all these school shootings... one after another..." - djjuiceyou can blame that damned video game GTH&B (grand theft horse and buggy).
For the anti-gun control types, I have a question:Banning or restricting gun possession obviously isn't helping, as the areas which have the toughest gun control have the highest gun-related crime rates. So why are they going higher? Why are guns being used in such ways in areas where they shouldn't be in the first place?Where are the guns coming from, how are they being obtained, and what is the motive behind the majority of the crimes?I don't know whether that's pure irony, or a result of the gun control laws; and if its a result of the gun control laws, I don't know whether that's a sign that gun control should be rescinded for a decrease in crime, or a sign that gun control laws are revealing just how far the respective government's efforts to end gun crimes have to go.Just wondering.
Every time something like this happens people wonder what needs to be done to "fix it". Nothing needs to be done. You can't end violence by banning specific tools of violence. No amount of militarizing our schools will end school violence, it's simply a trend we're going to have to learn to deal with.School violence happens for many different reasons. There is no cure all, and that includes trying to defy the constitution and ban firearms.
@guncrazyDon't give all the credit to the liberals for not wanting to let americans own guns. I sure as hell don't want anyone stupid enough to use a handle like "guncrazy" on the internet in possession of any firearms. "Responsible gun ownership" speeches from a guy that cant pick a responsible flippin internet handle has no business w/ one. Crazy.... well at least you got it half right.Every single one of my fellow countrymen tend to have napoleanic self asteem issues, the last thing the world needs is more of us w/ the ability to shoot someone. It's the 21st century, time to move out of the frontier mentality and realize the greatest handheld weapon known to man is the cellular telephone.
Key word to that headline "AFTER". Cops can't be everywhere all the time. 95% of the time they show up to take the report and zip up the bodybags. Plus, a few years back a judge ruled that cops are NOT required to protect us. Wake up gun haters! We're on our own to protect our loved ones!!! Had the teacher been armed and trained in the use of their weapon, chances are the headline would have read "Man attempts to hold up Amish schoolhouse but is killed and no other casualties reported".Like or hate Israel, they haven't had any school shootings since training and arming their teachers. Don't fear the guns, fear the person on the trigger side of it! You can ban them all day long. It won't do anything but make all law abiding citizens prone to attack. NOTHING will stop a killer from getting a gun if they want one. It's the same premise with locking your door. The lock only keeps out honest people. A true criminal will get past it and do what they want to do.

More dead kids in our country simply because even Leatherface could walk into a store and walk out with a gun.
