pennlive.com — Police came to Hicks home because they were alerted by a silent security alarm at his home about 2 a.m., police determined Officers Gerard Kraly and Lukas Laeuricia didn't commit a crime when they Tasered Shawn Hicks, who was sleeping on his couch, says the officers Tasered him again after he woke up and showed them ID to prove he lived at there

I don't understand what the problem or surprise is here. 'Shoot [taser] first, ask questions later' is the mantra of modern day law enforcement. /sarcasmIn all seriousness, when did it become standard operating procedure to taser a "suspect" before questioning them? I thought tasers were only supposed to be used if the suspect is being forceful or physically uncooperative (see: dangerously resistive). How could this man be resisting arrest if he was f**king SLEEPING??? This is the side of "law" enforcement that you don't see on CSI, kiddies.

These cops are f**king out of control these days! Fat bastards have to tase the s**t out of people instead of talking someone down or just using their training. This is what happens when you hire people with usually very low IQ, low education, and almost all of them had their ass kicked in elementary school for their lunch money... now they have to get back at the world with their gun and fake ass badge.... not to mention most of them are closet fags!

Tasers have definitely been under a lot of criticism prior to the "Don't tase me bro!" incident, take the Iranian student at UCLA story, for instance. Though I guess that story wasn't publicized so much for the Taser aspect as it was for the racial profiling.

Original Email:From: Joe SimpsonTo: nbpolice@comcast.netSent: Monday, November 05, 2007 6:39 AMSubject: Officers Gerard Kraly and Lukas LaeuriciaThe conduct of these two officers is disturbing...since when is it ok for two cops to come into a man's home and assault him? I know there was a alarm but this was HIS house, and he was SLEEPING! What kind of department is this...it does not serve the people. I would like to see some action taken against these criminals because thats what these officers are CRIMINALS period.Reply from Henry WiehagenDirector Of Publice SafetyBoro of North Braddock,Pa.Sir:As Bill O'Riley would say, you are a Pin Head and have been drinking to much Kool Aid,and don't deserve a intelligent response. My reply:Sir,Police are meant to serve the public not assault them, how is justified? Lol you and Bill O have alot in common...throwing mindless insults around only makes you look like a immature kid. Keep up the good work, keep assaulting citizens, see where it gets you.Sorry about the spacing....No reply yet from Mr. Henry Wiehagen

Has anyone seen this?! " http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/prime ...It's a statement by the TASER manufacturer stating no deaths have ever resulted from their product, and that regarding the recent Vancouver airport incident where we saw a man tasered to death on video, they write:``We are taken aback by the number of media outlets that have irresponsibly published conclusive headlines blaming the TASER device and / or the law enforcement officers involved as the cause of death before completion of the investigation. These sensationalistic media reports completely ignore the earmark symptoms of excited delirium shown in the video."Like WTF do they think is causing this 'excited delirium' that is the cause of these deaths?!? Could it POSSIBLY be that people get so distressed about being shocked over and over that their blood pressure goes up and they have a heart attack, stroke, or whatever? Nooooooooooooo I'm sure it's totally unrelated!!
