Regarding the RSX wiki article, read it again. It clearly states that the RSX can do 51 billion dot products a second WITH THE HELP OF THE CPU. What he stated as CORRECT.

@cgoff It is all about optimization. That why I can't wait for DirectX 10! The new API should improve PC gaming performance a great deal!

Let's not forget that ubisoft developer's stated that the 360 version will have better AI because the hardware is better suited for it. Tony Hawk 3 on the 360 has more stable framerate. And the lastest comparison of Ridge Racer 6 on the 360 vs. Ridge Racer 7 on the PS3 shows that the 360 is capable of nicer textures.Sony is notorious for overpromising and under deliverying, but in the end it will end up on which developers will switch over from Sony's camp to MS camp.

If games aren't about the hardware, then go play Pong

"When are people going to learn that it's not the hardware but the games?"Please stop making this idiotic argument. My cell phone runs games and they are fun, but they cannot compete with a PS3, wii, or 360. Whether you want to believe it or not, its about the hardware!

At this point a midrange to highend gaming PC is equal or better than PS3 and Xbox 360. You can build a system with a Asus 975X based motherboard, Core 2 Duo E6400, 2GB of ram, a 8800GTS, 250GB HDD, etc. for around $1500 USD. So I'd say a $1500 USD Gaming PC can handle way more than PS3 and Xbox 360 can game wise. Games such as Crysis and games over the next few years for the PC will be better looking on PC. Of course the PC is more expensive. Also a highend PC can play games at higher than 1080p resolution.
