Sony looks like they are in the process of pulling an atari. Wonder where they will bury the butt-load of unwanted ps3's.

Um, it's more like a step in the right direction. Ken resigning will do the PlayStation brand some good. I honestly don't see the bad in this with all the bad publicity Ken seems to be good at gathering.

Obviously he was fired because of the issues with the PS3...they're just letting him save face here.

I really hate Sony and all, but I love my PS2. It's still a good system (especially with all the exploits for it) as developers have stilled released games for it, unlike the gamecube.. It's a shame to see Ken Kutaragi resign from a company he helped build into greatness. You have my best wishes Kutaragi-san.

@AnorhcPerhaps, but perhaps it's because Sony is loosing people like him that the company is going downhill .. from the article :"If I were asked whether Sony's quality of manufacturing has declined, I would have to say 'yes,'" Mr. Kutaragi said. That kind of honesty is refreshing especially coming from someone at sony. The article describes him as "a brash engineer who joined the company in 1975" and as an engineer I can understand his frustration a little. From personal experience I've seen the quality of their TVs decline significantly within the past couple years.I thought the ps3 was uninspired and a blatant attempt to muscle out the competition in the high def format war (blu ray), but I wonder how much of that is Mr. Kutaragi's vision.

why keep kaz? they should fire all those old suits and get a young team in there. these companies are in the business of youth, yet they don't have anyone under 40 doing press conferences at E3. i knew these guys were in trouble when they had these old ass creeps tryin to sell stuff at E3--especially sony. at least miyamoto is agamer; he's a creative genius actually. i knew ps3 was dead when they said 599. let this be a lesson. the first commandment of gaming should be: thou shalt not exceed 399 dollars.
